Today is the twenty-second day of 28 days of daily paintings that will drop first thing each morning. Each day, I’ll tell a little bit about my story as an artist and how it makes me who I am. I hope in sharing these little pieces of my heart, you will know how much painting means to me.

We had gone to Yellowstone right after the wreck, and I had been so inspired that I decided to make an entire collection based around our trip. Seeing beauty that you’re not accustomed to is a wonderful way to inspire your art. So while I’m not typically a landscape artist, I became more of one for this collection. The memories of this magical trip influenced my art practice and continue to work in ways I couldn’t have seen before.
